We love kids!

Special patient care is required from the whole practice team when treating children. Not only due to the different anatomical situation (milk teeth and second dentition), but also because of the different mental and psychological circumstances.

Children have often had negative experiences with visits to the dentist or they receive these negative experiences from grown-ups. Today, children’s dental health is so easily maintained by carrying out early check-ups, following the prophylaxis programme and visiting the dentist every six months.

Prophylactic treatments also make it possible to counteract dental abnormalities or problems with teeth positioning when children regularly see a specialist, i.e. your dentist. This way, you can guarantee your child has a strong foundation for strong and healthy teeth for a lifetime.

When should children first visit the dentist?

The earlier the better: we recommend regularly visiting a dentist once your child is one year old. Consultation with parents regarding oral hygiene is paramount here. During this first consultation, topics such as fluoride, pacifiers, drinking bottles and diet are also addressed.

Further appointments should then take place every six months. This ensures a positive relationship is developed with the dentist as well as providing regular checks.
